Nurturing Care
A BIT ABOUT ME
While pregnant with my third baby, I decided I wanted to experience a natural birth. I dove head first into research and decided to hire a doula for support. My first two births were epidural births, and I felt I needed guidance for my upcoming birth. My third child's labor was extremely empowering; full of strength and support from my husband and doula. The experience was so life changing, that when my baby was a few months old, I decided to train to become a doula myself. I've had the honor and privilege of being present at the birth of many little ones since 2013. My husband Ryan and I live in Mt. Pleasant, SC with our four sons and daughter.

My Passion
The experience of pregnancy and birth has evolved over the years, especially in today’s modern era. I believe that the need for caring, sensitive, and knowledgeable support during this time is becoming more and more necessary for all births, not just those who chose to have a natural one. Parents are in need of a calm support person, who can help them to feel confident and empowered, during the most wonderful experience of their lives. As a mom of five myself, I try to bring to the table my different birthing experiences, as well as those who I have supported in the past, so I can wholeheartedly support parents and their own birth plans. I see every pregnancy and birth as a miracle, and as a Doula, I feel honored to be able to contribute my expertise to women and families in the Charleston area.

Testimonials
"From the initial meeting with my husband and I, Caitlin was so helpful. She provided us with tons of information and answered any and all questions we had, which were a lot. She also provided us with something that is priceless and that is peace of mind. We felt supported, empowered, and confident. We were finally prepared to attempt our VBAC and welcome our second son earth side. "

"Throughout the long and very difficult birth, Caitlin remained her calm, knowledgeable, and encouraging self. My husband and I always say that we have no idea how things would have gone without her. She was there to remind me to breathe in (I was mostly breathing out when in transition), to suggest changes of position, to support my wishes (even when things went south and my wishes had to change), and to encourage both me and my husband throughout the process. But our favorite thing of all, however simple it was, was that she drastically decreased our anxiety levels both through her presence and by letting us know that different things that were happening were normal."

"Caitlin was a wonderful doula. She was professional, kind and full of knowledge. She made my first natural birth a peaceful and relaxing experience. My husband and I were so grateful to have her be a part of the birth of our third baby!!!"
-Jennifer Y.
"Caitlin was our doula for my daughter and her birth was a VBAC...Caitlin was our rock through it all. She patiently answered my 7 trillion questions, supported my decisions and desires for the birth, and during labor I hugged and probably bruised her arms through contractions. She is so knowledgeable and supportive, but never pushy or overbearing. She is a wonderful listener and the type of woman that every new mom needs on their team. She is a natural helper and quietly does what needs doing so that the new parents can focus on the birth and their baby. She was there when I needed her but also gracefully stepped away any time I wanted alone time with my husband. Truly, she’s just the best :)"
